Reason #1 for consulting a dermatologist. I see mine twice a year after a long career of high altitude flight and several childhood burns.

I make a concoction of the heart of a toad, eye of a newt, seaweed, hair of border collie, scraping of ox-hoof, and ground eel spine, boiled in the darkest swamp water you can find, simmered, and reduced to a paste

I then take the paste, throw it away, and go to the doctor.

What I have done in the past is take a pair of vise grips and any nail with a flat head on it and a torch and heat the nail cherry red and put on the tag.You will not feel on that round and when the scab fall off repeat and go down to the skin after it heals it is gone.no blood just a little pain for a short time.

Liquid Nitrogen removal my Dr. did, I had some burns around the tags, sorta annoying. I have an AC powered soldering iron dedicated to a hot knife tip and think I'll use that next time; Some of the darn things return eventually, I tend to only remove them when they get large or painful (If it scrubs on clothes too much they can be painful and get quite irritated / inflamed.) Years ago another Dr. used electrocautery, not quite sure how that works but could look it up.

If they're big enough just twist them a little every day they will get thin at the base, turn black and fall off.

Pure Hydrogen food grade Peroxide. Burns, but takes care of tags, warts and small sun spots.
