I have fired a CZ52 underwater at carp and killed a couple. It worked but still dumb. I did get all the air out of the pistol first.

I have used air pressure several times to unload muzzleloaders ...750-800 lbs of air down the nipple will shoot the bullet 20-30 ft

The process is sound. Water does not compress, Trailboss is a low pressure powder and he was only using a 1 grain charge to push the bullet out of the bore.

Having said that, I still wouldn't do it. On a 1911, or any pistol without a fixed barrel, it would be much simpler to drive out the bullet with a punch instead of loading up a special blank. This is risky enough with low pressure cartridges. If you tried this with a higher pressure cartridge, I believe you risk a catastrophic failure. It's just not worth the risk, but he put on a good show with the video.

I use brass rod or wood dowel. The other method may work just fine, I will use my method.

And believe it or not, such a place does indeed already exist: It's called Prison."
