    I used too hard of an alloy that never expanded and it still looked like a bomb went off in my deer last year. I believe it was the bone fragments going on every direction. Fist size holes...and then some! I’m going to try super soft alloy this year at the same velocity.

    That is why hollow points are not a good idea for anything you may want to eat.
    The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.
