CLOSED- MP 311 - 180 SIL GC or PB 2,4 or 6 cavity ("Lee Style") Solid Group Buy

    Greetings Cast Boolit Brothers.

    ***********UPDATE************

MIHEC is cutting these as 3 cavity brass HP molds.....not 4. For all who signed up for a 4 cavity you will be given a discounted price. Not sure how much...but MIHEC said it would be a VERY GOOD price.

Let me know what you think in the comments please. This one is already being cut.

    Bluejay

Miha has given the green light to run a very popular 30 Caliber bullet. The . I see its purpose being suited for most 30 caliber applications. This Boolit feeds very well in some finicky 300 Blackout Rifles (RAR) and Blunt feed ramped 308s (REM).

I will ask and see what he says. Haven’t seen that as an option with his molds before so I’m not sure.

This bullet was available with hollowpoint in past group buys. I would be interested if this buy would have an HP option. There was also a .30cal Heavy Sil group buy a few years ago that never happened. I was signed up as were many others but it never got cut.

It might seem a bit odd in the role, but I have found my 3 cav hollowpoint mold to be extremely accurate for subsonic 308 using trail boss and titegroup... top marks to trailboss.

Out of a bolt action it's the load I hand to new shooters to really wow them with a suppressor.

It's also tapered and works well in my k31.

    ECHD,

Im going to ask about Hollow Point Mold and if he will run this bullet with 10-15 sign ups to take care of all the guys who signed up previously for a bullet that didnt make 20.

Sounds good. I have two of this mold already but I highly encourage others to try one... it is easily my favorite 30 cal design for cast.

Has Mihec reworked the mold to drop its bullets easier than the first GB?

Wasn’t tracking a problem. From what I have read here...this is probably the most accurate 30 cal mold available. I would go soft and GC if I really need expansion.

My 3 cavity HP drops as easy as any other MP. With that an extra cavity would be great as well as some solids.

    (1) .311- 4 Cavity GC-All Pins
    (1) .311- 6 Cavity GC-Brass
    (gspatton at gttransmissions dot com)

BTW, you may want to edit the original listing to remove the statement saying this mold can't be HP'd

No problem...Thanks for the reminder to ask to run this as an inventory run for his website at 10-15 units.
