Did your supplier have any info on what is motivating the guy from Milwaukee to pay that kind of price?
I know that whatever the motive is doesn't help your situation at all, but I'm quite curious.

Do not feel too bad I went by a few local places and was informed that they would get 70 to 80.oo per bucket. ;(
Bummer, but you can't blame the station owner for taking the additional $85...
Gotta agree the guy paying has lost his mind though!
I don't believe it. I'll have to cogitate for a while to come up with a reason why the lies.
Nope! not for a minute!

The way is ONLY through HIM.
The question is....when the guy comes back to pick up his WW at $90 a bucket will he want all 5-6 buckets sitting there or just take one. If just the one, the door may open for you again.
I'm in N colo and the only place in my town (like 100000 people) that will sell WW wants 90 per 5 gal. They saail that when the recycler came that all the buckets will be gone.
I stopped at chainstore to have my co truck serviced yesterday. I used to go there all the time (monthly). I asked the new guy if he had any WW's he said yea but he had to hold them for Interstate. That they gave 10 bucks a bucket for them. I offered to buy some and he said that the was committed to Interstate. Thus far, I have never had to pay for WW's even though, I made the offer just to see what he would do.

Wow, i just bought 5, 5 gallon buckets for $40 a bucket about 4 hours ago.
This is gettin' rediculous.
I've had two different guys tell me that they are getting $90-$100 per bucket full. One of the guys I know very well and he has no reason to lie to me about it. I just can't figure out who or why someone would pay that much for a bucket of WW.

wheel weight lead at my local scrapyard was .30 cents a pound this summer the guy said it would probably stay at this price for a while .
At that price, load up all the 5 gallon buckets you can round up and sell them to the dude for $90. Take the $$ and go the scrap dealer and buy a BUNCH more.:takinWiz:

C1PNR, you're a disgustingly greedy capitalist!
I'm not telling ANYONE where I'm getting WW for $20/5gal bucket. They'll accumulate faster than I'll shoot them, so unless someone comes along and offers more, I'm set for a while.

Stew
