Great news; your attitude is great and that's important! Not to steal your thunder but a very young very sweet neighbor girl lost a leg in a lawn mower accident some years back, sever damage to the foot of the other leg, the family has since moved but we just saw them doing some shopping and guess what that now teen girl lettered in,track! Her attitude was never bleak , it was always just a minor inconvenience for her.
Sorry for the thread drift. Your post will inspire me throughout the week!!!

Change in altitude is good for the soul.

I went to an estate sell yesterday. A fella complained about sore knees as he climbed the steps into an outbuilding. Stranger told him folks sprayed WD40 on their joints to ease the pain. I don't know about that, but in your case it just may!

Good for you Brother...adapt and overcome!

Seeing your picture took me back to about 1954, I saw my GramPa James standing there instead of you...then I remembered when he used to take his leg off and lean it against the wall and watch the Friday night wrestling matches with my Dad.
His leg was much different than those of today...the calf portion was a hollow wooden construction and sized to look like a regular calf muscle...being hollow, it had 1" holes on either side about mid-calf, loving GrandSon that I was...I used to drop clothes pins through those holes! When Poppa would put it back on and walk, guess who used to dominate his morning thoughts?

He'd get about 1/2 way to the breakfast table when I'd hear him exclaim..."Cuss-cuss-it! Bertie Faye Chuck's put something in my leg again!

Thanks for the trip back in time and I hope that you get along just fine now...c h a r l i e

Life throws us many bumps in the road. I'm glad to see that you are holding your head up high and "stepping over" this bump. God bless you and stay strong.
