    35/30-30 RCBS 200 FNGC....Re-7 / IMR4198 / AA5744

I have a Marlin 336C that JES rebored to 35/30-30. Trying to work up a load that would get me closer to 2000 fps with the RCBS 200 FNGC.

Had pretty good accuracy with Re-7, but velocities are lower than I'd like. Having trouble getting them above ~1850 fps without thinking about pressure. Am getting ready to experiment with IMR4198 and AA5744. Any 35-30 owners use either of those two successfully?

Case capacity with 200-grain bullet seated is within 5% of .35 Remington. Use .35 Remington data and just be cautious as you approach the mid-level charges. You probably will not get 2000 fps in the 336C with short barrel, because not even factory .35 Remington does unless you shoot it in a 24" barrel.

I would skip the 5744 as I regard it as being inappropriately fast. If RL7 will not get you there I might suggest a compact granuled ball powder like TAC or LVR. 3031 should do it as well subject to some amount of powder compression.

Leverrevolution or WW-748 would be my choice iftop end velocities are desired.
