    I'm getting antsy again....

I was looking at a CZ 75 and it looked nice. I was wondering if the CZ 97b might not be a good pistol..? Anyone here have one? And if so, do you like it?

I had a cz 97b for a while, it is an amazing firearm and it has ZERO drawbacks other than weight. Early ones could use a heavier return spring for reliabe cycling of troublesome hollowpoint ammo, but they are amazing guns. Only reason I don't still have mine is cause my brother who I got it from HAD to have it back. In fact, I've never shot a cz firearm that I wouldn't have taken home.

I sold my Glock and am going to sell another revolver, but can't quite decide on either the CZ 75 SP01, which is 9mm, or the CZ97 B which is .45 acp....Both are full sized steel framed pistols with an exposed hammer..... and no, I can't get both....

I've got one. Big. Heavy. Accurate. Less felt recoil than a 1911. Built like a tank...should last a couple of lifetimes.

The sp01 is also built like a tank, and hardly has any recoil. I will say though, that the sp01 is a bit of overkill for carry, the p01(compact version of sp01) is much better on the hip all day. The 97b has a certain feel though, that is hard to explain. It just feels like a 45 is supposed to IMHO.

+1. I have E Model 97B from Cajun Gun Works. Superbly accurate and totally reliable with anything I feed it. My 75B is also a joy to shoot.

My brother has a 97bd that he likes. I’ve shot it a few times, all I can say is that it went bang. I prefer my 1911’s, because I have smaller hands and the 97’s grip is just a hair too large for my preference.

Weight shouldn't be too much of a problem, Probably going to shoot paper, mostly. I already have an LC9s Pro that goes almost everywhere I do...

Both of the above mentioned pistols look like they would be easy to take down for cleaning, which is an important issue now. Two years ago it wasn't a problem, but now....

Well, I sold my revolver today. My wife is going to the bank tomorrow and when I get the go-ahead I'll be ordering the CZ 75 SP-01 tomorrow afternoon. I suppose when I go to the range I'll have to recommence scrounging brass again......

It came in today. I do like it. If I feel well enough tomorrow I'll take it to the range....
