What size sizer for 40 cal and 45 cal PB checks

I already have been using Ned's pb checks in 30 cal and 9mm. I now am starting to use 40 and 45 cal too. Anyone that has been using these already please tell me what size you have been sizing them for good results. The 40 cal will be used in several different brand pistols, and the same for 45acp and 45 colt bullets. I just need advice on a quick start. Thanks in advance, Wallacem in Ga

    Are you casting now Wallace?
You can miss fast & you can miss a lot, but only hits count.

40 S&W and 10mm throats and barrels have been remarkably consistent in diameter IME. Throats sit between .400" and .401", and grooves have been within a couple tenths either side of .400". I size at .401" and have had zero issues with leading to 1275 FPS. None of the my 40/10 bullets are of gas check design; I am not sure a GC is needed for the application.
I don't paint bullets. I like Black Rifle Coffee. Sacred cows are always fair game. California is to the United States what Syria is to Russia and North Korea is to China/South Korea/Japan--a Hermit Kingdom detached from the real world and led by delusional maniacs, an economic and social basket case sustained by "foreign" aid so as to not lose military bases.

If you were loading a 38/40 WCF, I believe .403” used to be the accepted norm. Just throwing that out there for those that might wonder.

45 acp - size to .452 for AMT 1911 Hardballer

45 Colt - size to .452 for Ruger Blackhawk (may not be true for all 45 Colt revolvers)

    40 S&W - size to .401 for CZ 75

When in doubt the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook recommendations and/or the guns bore diameter +.001 is a good place to start.

The sizes listed above by the others, but you don't need to gas check either caliber. Why do you have the impression that you would?
