    Malwarebytes update causes RAM consumption

I have been running Malwarebytes on my computers the last few years. Their latest update has caused severe problems by eating up enormous amounts of RAM resulting in computer shutdown. I uninstalled it from my computers until I hear of a fix. FYI

I see three similar comments on the Malwarebytes forums. Hope you report this over there too.

I had problems for the first time today. Uninstalled, reinstalled the new version and submitted my keycode and all is fine now

I have not updated mine in a long time. So I am not having problems so far.

I had the same experience today. Uninstalled & reinstalled and I'm running fine now. Malwarebytes has a utility that will save your keycode and re-enter it automatically when you reinstall.

Take off the latest Microsoft patches from the first of the year. Then turn off automatic patching for the time being. The Intel processor patch slows machines way down.

I use MWB as a backup emergency tool, hopefully they'll fix this soon!

It seems that every update from anybody slows mine down. I think it is part of a plan of obsolescence brought on to get you to make a purchase of the newest and fastest machine.
Think about what would happen if your present PC would last forever. It seems as if every update or replacement program eats up excessive amounts of memory and HD space. Thus making your PC too old to be servicable, even if it still works as intended when built.
    Information not shared. is wasted.
