    WTS: Hoch and Idea moulds

    2.) Idea mould- 457406 with handles. Appears to be New, old stock. No box. $ 50. Shipped

    What size bullet does the Hoch mold throw diameter and grains ?

    And a picture would help me out.

    The Hoch mould will be a nose pour mould casting at .459 and weighing 405 grains.

    You will have to buy Hoch handles.

    That's a variable length design so how many grooves it has determines the weight.

    You will find it difficult to cast with. It will be difficult to get a nice base.
    So pressure fill it! Hold it against your dipper or up against the pour spout on your bottom pour lead pot for a count of 3 to 5 before you pour the sprue. That will give you a good base. It took me a while to figure out how to get mine to work!

    RCBS handles can be modified to work with Hoch molds. Maybe other handles but I've used the RCBS.
