    WTB used up 45-120 brass

I'll at least pay postage! I'm looking for a couple pieces of 45-120 brass that is no longer useful for shooting to have made a couple measures for my B&M powder measure. Retired friend in Church has a lathe and is looking for projects. Thought I'd give him one, and get something useful out of it.

online metals has the brass tubing you need to make the adjustable measure tubes in 12" lengths. 3" or 4" long can be made. They also have solid round stock that could be used for this project

Bill of materials for this project and stock length needed.
    1/2" Od x .030 wall ( 7/16" ID) 3" 0r 4" long so you get 4 3" or 3 4" from a 12" length
7/16" Od x .030 wall 1/2" long2 pcs per tube required here you get enough for 12 measure tubes from a 12" length
1/2" stop collar 1 for each tube. these can be purchased ready made or made with the lathe.
3/8" 24 threaded rod 1" longer than outside tube length. Mill or file a flat just below the threads so clamp screw dosnt damage the threads
A thumb screw to match the stop collar.
a 3/8 24 nut for each measure tube, or a graduated wheel can be made with a nice knurl.
The measure tube can be epoxied together ( takes longer due to cure times) or can be soldered together ( faster but may require a little more clean up and fitting)

One of the 7/16" X 1/2" pieces is glued or soldered into the bottom of the 1/2" tube and the stop collar can be glued soldered on at the same time same end.
The other 7/16 X 1/2" piece is glued or soldered to the top end of the 3/8" 24 ready rod. These 2 7/16 x 1/2" pieces will need to be polished to a sliding fit. Then the tapped hole in the stop collar transferred thru the tubes.
Last is final polish and assembly. These make a nice measure tube for the B&M measure with a little work. It can be done by hand with files and hand tools even.
