Well, both the Titan and the GunData link are pretty much ballpark figures... and the link has no cast or flatpoint options. But, certainly better than nothing, if you want to plug in something into a ballistics program. There are very few 1,000 yard cast boolit shooters, and anyone in the long range business knows calculations are just a starting point, so here we have a starting point for your starting point.
Enjoy, then adjust as required.
I give loading advice based on my actual results in factory rifles with standard chambers, twist rates and basic accurizing.
My goals for using cast boolits are lots of good, cheap, and reasonably accurate shooting, while avoiding overly tedious loading processes.
The BHN Deformation Formula, and why I don't use it.
How to find and fix sizing die eccentricity problems.
Do you trust your casting thermometer?
A few musings.
Well I don't shoot that far, but I was playing with a little ballistic's program I ran across over on Gateway to Airguns.
It is still nice to know roughly where to start.
Gave me a pretty good idea of how much drop to expect from my Highpoint .45acp carbine.
Showed me that a 75 yard zero would give me pretty easy shots out to 150 yards, that is far enough for that girl. .45 colt with the same boolit will be next.
