    2010 Ford Fusion Battery

The optima battery thread got me thinking. My wife's 2010 Ford Fusion 3.0 liter battery is failing. It is a group 96R battery. On the Mustang a group 48 can replace the oem group 96R. Does any one know if the group 48 will fit my wife's fusion? I was thinking of a Exide Edge AGM. It had a duracell from Sams that is 4 days out of warranty.

    Thanks all.

I replaced one on grandparents 06' Fusion two years ago, was the original battery. The space was pretty tight and the holdowns are fitted to the battery. The Mustang has considerably more engine compartment room than the Fusion. You can take a tape measure to the battery store and measure a group 48 but I have my reservations that it will fit.
