    Lee new pro 1000?

Does Lee have a new version of the Pro 1000 out? Anyone seen one? Thanks, Dale

Was about to start a thread on this very same subject.
I've searched the net for info and have found nothing .
What I've read (probably here) is it'll be at least 4 stations...

Index pin is new, I have 2 RCBS older 5 stations, one with an index pin, one without and don't see any difference in operation.
On the Pro 1000 most primer problems seem to be from an out of adjustment index so maybe the locating pin will make the index less critical.
Nothing at the Lee site about a "2018" Pro 1000

I'll be keeping the one I have thank you. Already have 4 turrets, 4 die sets, 2 carriers and 4 shell plates for it. Does everything I need it to do.

Though I too thought the new model would be 4 hole to match the new model turret press.

The New Pro-1000 base is being used in common with the 4-hole value turret and will most likely be the base used when Lee finally rolls out their new 4-hole progressive. It's been vapor wear for several years but I have spoken with a few people at Lee who claim it's being Beta tested now!

The new base is not painted because the thickness of the paint caused problems with the fitment of accessories!

So far I like what I see but it will still be hard to upgrade from what I have already. I already have a Pro1000 with 2 carriers and 4 shellplates and also have a old 3 hole Value Turret press that I use for small runs and load development. This system combined together does all I need and does so very well.

I could not understand why they came out with the 3 hole version. Then I realized that they have many people with 3 hole versions that would feel abandoned by them and forced to buy all new 4 hole turrets. So this is really a sign of valuing their customer base.

The Pro 1000 4 hole version will be excellent. My problem is I have the Inline Fabrication Case Ejector set up so my turrets go the wrong direction.

So I don't see myself upgrading anytime soon as I just added a set of 45acp dies and a #2 and a #4 shellplate for my Pro 1000 which with the other dies this now gives me 5 calibers.
