A short time ago, back in the '80's. I was shooting with the 88th ARCOM pistol team at a range. The line was made safe, and we were down checking targets, when a box of 45 ACP fell off the table onto cement and a round went off. The firing line was covered with corrugated tin and the slug went through the tin. The only thing we could figure out was the box landed on a small rock and punched the primer, then the other shells acted like a crude chamber and held the shelkl from exploding so the bullet shot up through the roof. We located the slug about 1/2 way to the 25 yard targets.
