    Range Day Mauser Infantrie Rifle Mod. 1896

    Last Saturday i have had a nice Range Day with my Swedish Mauser

    My Load:

    Lovex D036 - Accurate No.5

    Lyman Bullet 144 grs G/C sized to .266
    S&B Large Pistol Primer

    50 m rested on Sandbag

    enclosed some Pics about the Mauser and 3 different Targets
    My Standard Load is 10.5 grs, 1 st Target

    I have raised up to 11,4 grs 2nd Target

    and 12,4 grs 3rd Target

    I'd say your rifle likes the 12.4 gr load looks like time to try a few +- .3 gr at a time, then take the best to 100 yd mark. Those Swedes are some beautiful rifles, good job.

    Klaus,

    Very Well Done! The M96 Swede is one of my favorite arms. It seems you found the right load. My M96 has a threaded muzzle and now wears a 2-inch muzzlebreak to protect the threads and it looks "Cool!"
