Looks like a chiropractor's best friend... Or maybe a spinal surgeon. That's awesome! Maybe write to holland and holland to see what they know about it?

OMG! That's the real deal, looks like a hotchkiss revolving cannon round. I wonder if it was a small artillery round? Years ago I was at a decoy show in Tuckerton, NJ and an old fella was selling punt gun shells, some were 2" diameter and about a foot long. I wish I had bought a few of them now.

Based on the hand stamped nature of the 'head stamp' I'm guessing this is a one-off, or at least very limited project kind of thing. I've seen some interesting things put together for cartridge collectors groups and the like. I doubt this went with a gun.

NZ--I had been a bit suspicious of the headstamp myself. If it was mine I'd take it apart to see if there is any powder etc. The bullet has a knurled crimp groove in it so there is a fair bit of attention to detail.

lots of times they will mill the "old" stamp off then re-stamp and let age. looks home made but great job.
Looking for Ideal mold 419181 (44 Evans Long)
"Joined Dates" are deceiving if you factor-in "lurk" dates.
