I had killed over twenty deer and antelope with my 243 and several coyotes. I had a 100 gr Hornaday interlock bullet for all of them until one entered an antelope @ 125 yards just 2" behind the left shoulder. It exited 3" behind the ribs on that same side. I could never find what made it turn. I then put three shots into a running antelope., breaking his jaw, gut shooting him and one in the ribs. All three of the others exited and tracked straight. After putting one in the jaw I had no confidence in where the gun was hitting but it was 3" high at 100 yards the same as when it was sighted in. Not my finest moment in the field.

Especially when the 7mm 08 is available and a better cartridge all the way around for light game.

Your going from 6 mm to 6.5mm. Or 100 grain to 117 grain? I would see what kind of trade could be made for a 7-08 or good old 308.

I shot a pigeon with a compound bow- 5/16 blunt broadhead at 7 yards.

The little snot flew away with the 30"arrow stuck in him.

Flew 40 ft up in the air before dropping like a rock.

He had a 5/8 hole in him.

I became terrified of using the bow for pest control.
