Was perusing the milsurps at the gun shop today and found a very nice condition Swedish m/38 manufactured by Husqvarna. Looks basically unused, but the finish is more like the black paint I am accustomed to seeing on Lee-Enfields than the deep blue I have seen on Swedish Mausers. Does anyone know if this type of finish was used on Husqvarna rifles, or rifles that were rearsenaled by Sweden? Serial numbers on the action match (not electropencil), stock disk indicates at least one inspection at arsenal, and the small import stamp goes through/into this finish so I'm guessing it came into the country this way.
Any info specific to Husqvarna/Swedish finishes would help. Looking online, I'm seeing mostly blued guns but I have also seen that production practices changed at Husqvarna in 1941 due to war demands.
