    25 cal from 22mag and 17HMR!

Made some 25 cal dies! A nice little 7.75s ogive with a slight secant nose profile. Made very nice bullets from both 22mag and 17 HMR brass as well as 6mm commercial jackets.

Left to right.... 85 grain, 118 grain, 119 grain from full length 22 mag case and a 95 grain bullet from 17HMR case cut off at shoulder

119 grain .257 bullet next to 22 mag case

Bore the meplat of the .257 die up from .062 to .1875 and you have the perfect little 25-20 bullet!

Now I'll have to get a 25 cal barrel

    Swage on!

I spent time today drawing Sierra 30 cal jackets to 256 and trimming them to one inch. I'm trying to make a 100 gr bullet that will stabilize in my 14 inch twist Savage model 20. I have a 2S and a 6S point form. I made a few 103 gr 2S bullets. A lot of work. I think I will derim some 22 Mag. May have to trim them a bit.

100 grain is a niiiceee weight for 257 / 25-06, hmm! That .1875 hollow point, oh man... That should prove quite effective on Coyotes or other varmints, anything you want DRT, just not ideal for edible game. I'm going to have to do more research on getting enough jackets

You really need a web page that lists all the dies you make...
I just bought a Coonan 357, so i could convert it to 256 Win mag... to go along with my Martini Bullpup in 256 Win Mag...

Looking sweet there Brian. Your projectiles look like they would be perfect in a 25-45 Sharps!
