    It might be cheaper to convert a Remington 1100 .410 to 45-70!
    Or not. More exciting though!

    yeah, it's not a 45/70, it's a wildcat. Cool, but definitely re-inventing the wheel compared to the 458 socom, 450 bushmaster etc.

    I remember reading about that earlier. They are pretty neat. But I already have .450 Bushmaster that cost a lot less though. I will let others have all the fun with this one. A few years ago I would have loved to have gotten one of these 45-70 auto rifles.

    Definitely so. Since it's in an AR10, why not a 45-284? Form dies vs lathe time.
    Wildcatting for ARs is all the rage. Seems like weekly we get another "ultimate"(almost) round!
