No such thing as too much.
Too much to use in your lifetime ? Sure. (look at the member with 28,000 lbs range scrap)
    But never too much, period.

If you have to shift much of it just to make coffee, that's not too much brass, it's not enough space. Build a shed.

our range sent 1680 lbs for scrap this fall, I kept one bin back for me, its all once fired stuff from the leos and conservation officers training. I doubt you could have too much Its kinda like money.

@ $1.76/lb right now for "range brass" its hard for me to justify keeping more than a 5 gal bucket of anything. Well maybe just pistol cals

You have too much brass when you can no longer store it.
I have 7.5 gallons of 45 Gap brass and don't own a 45 gap any more.
I have 20K + rounds of once fired police 40 cal brass, 20K once fired military 9mm brass (already processed)

Think of all the people that had piles of 22 hornet brass when it was plentiful.
Bet they are wishing they had it now.....

I felt that I had too much when I had significantly more than 30 buckets of 45acp, 9mm, 38special and .380, so I gave away most of the .380 since I don’t load it. You’ve got a good little stash going.

Ones thoughts on too much can change after you have weathered a shortage or two. Most of us remember 2008-2009 but some of us remember the one before that and even the one before that one.

I've been several weeks in processing a bunch of pistol brass with several weeks of brass yet to do. But I'm comfortable knowing that I can load and shoot as much as I want, no matter who gets elected at the next election. But there is a point where you just don't need another bucket of 9mm, 40 S&W or 223 brass. At that time, its whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Its the same with our lead stashes, primers and powder. You're either going to leave your survivors something to deal with or at some time you are not going to be able to shoot whenever you want. You just can't balance it out.

If it falls over on you and you die, you might have too much.
Friendly advice, store it ground level in several different places.
I don't think you can have too much.

Joe, if your over 60 with no sons or grandsons you might be ok for the calibers you listed. If you have sons & grandsons like mine you better get a bunch more empty 5 gal buckets.

Agreed, no such thing as too much. That said I have started taking excess brass and selling it after I clean it up. I pick up so much when I go to the range that it basically pays for the gas there and back.
    Keep moving forward!

At $1.52 a lb. I am selling a lot of the more common brass and trading for other components.
Keeping a few thousand of the ones I use....dale

if you have a 100 pieces you have to much. Get casting and loading and load up that brass. Empty brass isn't any fun at all!

You have too much 45 ACP. Send it to me for disposal.
