RP i use pink for bucks. But you have to bait them with a pile of pink bullets stacked in a secret shape. Once the buck spots the pile they just freeze in place giving you an easy shot.
Does i lay copies of marsh and thicket out but be ready to take a quick shot. If more than two show up there will be a fight between them real soon

RP those pics are over the last 3-4 years
I kill as many or more does as i do bucks. Just dont take pics of many of the does
My method is to take whatever shows up for the first 2 to fill my freezer (actually prefer does for my freezer meat). Then either hunt for someone else if i know a family in need or hunt for horns and bonus meat. Big bucks go to sausage or burger mixed 50/50 with pork butt.

couple years ago I did it with a 1915 Carl Gustaf 6.5x55 on its 100th birthday .. nice big 11 point too !!

I had the same question. I have been successfully hunting with powder coated cast in a 30-30 marlin, as well as a 45 colt Rossi 92. Both are accurate enough and expand nicely. Here are links to some of my water jug tests to check for expansion.

300gr Lee in Ruger only +P+ 45 Colt; I believe the muzzle velocity when chronoed was about 1650 FPS:

    170 gr Lee in 30-30:

Picked up Powder locally here its relatively cheap for a 1 lb of the stuff now to see how many boolits I can cover with it any guesses?

Point452 - Nice they really do expand plenty by the looks of things in those vids I will have to save a few milk jugs and give that a test once I get things rolling out here...
