    Steel pins in RCBS mold

Purchased a RCBS bullet mold. Noticed that a steel pin was in each mold half, under the set screw.
Do I replace the steel pin in the mold half, thru the handle, then set the set screw?
Never bought a RCBS mold before and was not certain.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Those steel pins are what holds the blocks to the handles the set screw holds the pin in place. Nice set up and allows the set screw to be set pretty snug but they don't loosen and fall out like the turned down screws do sometimes.
If off of handles remove set screws and pins ( sometimes a light tap or 2 is needed to get them to drop out). set block on handles and alighn holes insert pin and turn in set screw snug. Repeat on other side.

I did not know that they went to this system. All of my RCBS molds are old enough that they have the one piece pin.
