    New Ruger 9mm Carbine

    https://ruger.com/products/pcCarbine/models.html

Let the Ruger bashing commence! Along with the disappointment that it isn't offered in (fill in the blank)!

If it works and weighs less than 6lbs I'd try it. Ain't gonna pay more than $300 for it tho. Todd/3leg

I also hope it is built better than my camp 9,i love the marlin but the gun is subject to come apart at any time especially the trigger group. I just like the idea of a non-ar pcc.

A beauty pageant winner is isn't but its definitely interesting! Honestly may have to take a peek at one. MSRP is maybe a little steep though. Smart if them to make it Glock mag compatible, thats always a bonus.

    It ain't Kel-Tec ugly though!

I'll be buying one, even if they're $500.00

ETA - It's 6.8 pounds, so only slightly lighter than the Police Carbine. I assume that means they're using the same heavy slide as the Police Carbine. I'm guessing they're going to be extremely reliable, as is/was the PoPo carbine. I can already see a lot of improvements over the predecessor though.

Yeah, its ugly, but, no more ugly than any other 'new' gun with plastic stock, dull finish, crappy iron sights, picatinny slots, one-size-fits-all stock, knurled muzzle, and goofy magazine well.
Other than that, I am sure it is a fine item.
With the advent of Savage Axis, cheap Remington rifle, cheap Mossberg rifle, and so on, it seems that anything 'new' equates to UGLY.

I have the Beretta Cx4 in 9mm and love it.

    http://www.beretta.com/en-us/cx4-storm/

Can use my magazines from 92f. I have a Marlin camp in 45 and have shot the 9mm. I love Marlins but this gun is a blast for me.

Comes with an adapter to use Glock mags? Sign me up, I'm going to start a special savings envelope for one. Thank you Ruger for not making it use another obscure/fits nothing else magazine!!

They are already showing up for pre-order for $519.00 with free shipping.

I will buy one. And I am sure that a .45 ACP version is next.

I would really like one in 10 mm or .460 Rowland but I am getting way ahead of myself.

I love my Hi Point in 9mm also.

My camp-9 has been 100% reliable for me, but I know some people have less luck. When Ruger releases this in .45, I'll buy one.

Being a south paw, I like the ambidextrous design.....the reason I purchased a CZ Scorpoin EVO carbine. I'm not a Glock owner or Ruger SR series,so either magazines aren't a selling point for me. The CZ comes with two twenty rounders and thirty rounders can be had for @ $20. CZ isn't a take down but has a folding stock that doesn't block the ejection port .......... it can be fired when folded.

Beretta Storm was less expensive but magazines are limited to 15 rounds with no larger capacity mags, available. Don't have a Storm pistol, so again, not advantageous for me.

I don't think it looks that bad. And I can't remember buying a gun based only on its looks. If the price comes down some, I'll definitely buy one. Been wanting a 9mm carbine. Good home defense weapon with the redundancy of using the same mags as your pistol? I like that idea. A lot.

just about all the pistol carbines are ugly. Only ones I don't think are are the AR15 based versions but then some think AR's are ugly too. At that price it should have a street price of around 500 bucks. If it runs even close to as well as the original ruger carbines did it will be well worth it. Got me waiting now. I was going to my a kel tech .40 but I think ill wait until ruger chambers this in .40. So buy a bunch of them guys so ruger will consider 40s and 45s and even 10mms. Almost looks to me like a new barrel assembly and bolt and you could have it with glock mags in both 9mm and 40. Wouldn't even have to change the mag well.
