Eddie, one piece of advice. I have no idea what you do or for whom you work. When you find yourself stressing over something at work ask yourself one question - What will they do when I am retired and no longer here? No one is irreplacable, and no problem at the job is more important than I am. Keep these things in context and most problems seem much less important.

There is no 'right' that requires me to work for you or you to work for me!

Good perspective on it, thank you! At 66 I am trying to make this very decision! I don't really "want" to stop working but my patience with the "no good deed goes unpunished" is growing short...

Another day above ground which is always good at my age.
But the best bang for the buck present I got this Christmas was a Hornady 1911 primer tube filler. This thing is just the best.

About 5 years ago,a friend had about 2 weeks to go to retirement.Boss got extra snarky one day.He said starting tomorrow I`m taking my vacation. He had 3 weeks built up.Boss was not happy.Bosses wife said you brought it on yourself.Shut up you old fool.My friend said thank you Mam and good by.He left.

A word of advice about retirement - time seems to speed up and pass quicker once retired! I've been retired 10 years and I don't know where the time's gone (or whether I've achieved much!!!).

You guys who have wives who take an interest in your shooting don't realise how lucky you are. While my wife is happy for me to indulge in shooting as a hobby, she gets very nervous if I bring a firearm into the house for any reason.

As for best present this year, I bought my Uberti 1866 Yellowboy earlier and was tickled pink, but to top it off just before Christmas a club member decided to sell his Ruger Vaqueros so I said "I'll take them!". And while it's (just into) the new year I bought a new "smart" tv and soundbar. It was going to be for Christmas but I decided to wait for the Boxing Day sales.

Reckon I've done my dash for a while now .

The GF got me three screw Ruger Blackhawk chambered for .41 Magnum.
Now I'll be on the search for a Marlin 1894 in .41 Magnum to go with it!
