    Richard Corbin's New Website

It appears Richard's old website is gone for good and is replaced by the one we see now. In it he says he will be slowing down and will no longer be doing custom orders. He makes dies for stock and you must email him to see what is available. He shipped me a 257 set Tuesday. I ordered it just before Christmas and it may have been the last order on the old site. He says he has a new hydraulic press in the works for next year and some new wrinkles in his swaging presses. He says custom orders for unusual and often goofy ogives just took up too much of his time so he will concentrate on what most of us want. This should shorten wait times considerably.

Sounds like a smart business move on his part. The wait times turn off a lot of people that want to get is swaging. Most don't want to fork over a thousand or so dollars and then wait a year for the items to arrive.

Web address is the same. Even if you can't "add to cart" or see live inventory, it would still be nice if he listed what he plans to stock, hopefully he updates that. Even a simple list would work.

Well, not everyone has his web address. I Googled Richard Corbin and found he died in Iowa in 2014.

He told me he was getting rid of a bunch of his older machinery in favor of a couple new CNC lathes. Said they'd be more consistent & faster to put out products too. sounds like maybe win-win. I agree that a list of what he's gonna make would be nice though. Been trying to get 358 dies for a bit, but no go till after the first of the year & new machines.

Richard broke off and started www.rceco.com

I'd email him, maybe it's just the custom dies he's planning to stay away from.

I'm sure he will do custom punches because it requires almost no labor. He probably does as I do. I made up a couple dozen blank punches for Walnut Hill, "S" dies, and "H" dies. Then I just have to take a few minutes to turn down the tip to the desired size. If you can get $50 for these it's a nice profit center.

I think BT wants 75, which is fine. I like his workmanship anyhow.

358 die sets for rifle bullets are very hard to find. I was lucky enough to find a good used set a few years ago to feed the 35 Whelen.

As soon as I said 358 Walnut Hill rifle die sets are hard to find, Richard puts a 4S set up on eBay. I would watch eBay. This is the second set I have seen in as many weeks. At least I am assuming its Richard cuz its located in Phoenix, OR. I would have bought it already but I have a 4S set.

Put a bid in on that one, didn't have a BIN or I would have grabbed it right away. Bound to be better than the set I got from that JKS guy
