    What's for breakfast?

I usually do not eat breakfast but today I did.
Today was buckwheat pancakes, fresh eggs and bacon.

Good day so far. MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!
Life is so much better with dogs!

I cook breakfast for the family about 5 days a week. Pancakes, eggs (store bought) and bacon is on the menu every week or two.

Tried a new smoked brisket receipt a week ago before making it for Christmas dinner so had plenty left and it's very good with eggs and hash browns for breakfast.

Fresh brisket dinner today for the Family gathering.
    Merry Christmas. Kurt

My son & daughter in law have been here for the last two weeks and this morning I made pancakes, fried potatoes, eggs, and bacon. With coffee, orange juice and milk.
On the 29th they will be heading back to Australia.
    Sure gonna miss them.

Sausage, Toast (from homemade Bread) Community dark roast coffee.

Coned beef hash sprinkled with tabasco, sunny side eggs on top, and a glass of V8 juice. It was good! Having coffee now.

To get one's brain cranked in the morning the very least breakfast should be a piece of skillet toast fried with one teaspoon of Extra virgin Olive oil and topped with your favorite Jelly. The bread is not necessary but the other two are very beneficial. I don't remember not having breakfast. Nearly always at least three eggs plus everything else with them. Doctor told me years ago to only eat two or three eggs per week. Now the latest and greatest is to "eat eggs they are good for you". I have also had the same haircut all my life even through the long hair days of the 60s. Some things I refuse to change. Try hard to keep up with change though. Happy Birthday to me January 3. at 83 years old. Got go now and Hi-Tek coat some Lee 105s and 150s Wheel Weights and a few 105s pure lead for testing.

Doctors I don't really think they know what is good or bad for you. I was raised on a farm and breakfast was a big meal. Eggs fried in lard pie crust with goose lard and also in most of the fried foods. To this day I still eat eggs but not fried in lard because we don't butcher anymore except the wild game I fill the freezer with and I don't take pills for cholesterol to this day at age 77. it's below 190.

Also I cant pass a donut shop

V8 and 2 cans of coke instead of coffee... not a morning person! Breakfast for supper quite often though!

If I eat carbs for breakfast I want to kill a horse and eat it by 10 AM. 2 eggs and a piece of cheese on them will let me go until 2 or 3 with out any hunger pains. I do drink a lot of water and since I retired limit myself to no more than 12 oz of soda per day.

I am making Cowboy Breakfast Christmas morning.
1# deer breakfast sausage. Fried and crumbled.
    1 onion. Chopped and sautéed.
2 cans potatoes'. Cubed and fried.
    1 dozen eggs. Scrambled.
Mix all ingredients together in a large skillet and cover with cheese.
Makes a great breakfast burrito or serve with toasted English muffin.

We will have one of my favorite but not too enjoyed treats today, when I get around to making them...

I use Grand's Butter Tastin' store bought biscuits, flatten them out in my hand, wrap them around a 1" cube of Cabot Seriously Sharp cheddar and bake until cheese is melted and running out. OH BOY these are GOOD!!

Well I found some Bresaola (air dried lightly spiced beef) sliced paper thin so the cheese will be wrapped in this then baked in the middle of the biscuit.. Hardly ever see Bresaola but this is one of my favorite things to do with it!

Cabot makes some good cheese, I have a large block of the extra sharp white cheddar in the fridge. Great to top omelets with!
