    Gray color powder coating

Can anyone tell me what gray powder coating works best in the shake and bake method? I can coat using the ES method, but I prefer shake & bake method.

I haven't tried a grey, but I love Smoke's clear. Goes on white like powdered sugar so you can see coverage easily and without pigment it flows beautifully and is slick as snot.

Randy Rat's Silver Grey is working perfect for me using shake 'n bake. I like that the boolits look like cast boolits and not obviously powder coated.

I agree with the above statements about Smoke's Clear GLOSS. I find myself choosing it first over my other colors. The comment about being" slicker than snot" is no bull. The flow of that powder is very even and the boolit looks permanently wet when completed. Excellent powder.- CASTER

I'm sure that Smoke's clear works great. Clear is by far the easiest to coat with. I use the Eastwood brand because I got 5lbs. when I started coating and that amount goes a long way. Some pigments hinder flow and don't work well for "Shake and Bake.

+1 for Smoke’s clear. It is slick, like glass, most of the boolits I have recovered are still coated! Smash test was good ! Just my .02

I mixed Eastwoods Gloss white and Gloss black and it created a glossy concrete grey color. I'm don't mind that its not a silver-grey of bare lead. I want coverage without to much bling of the bright colors.

Here is concrete grey with two pars harbor freight White and one part urethane flat black. That mixture shake and bakes pretty good. Harbor Freight white by itself didn't seem to shake and bake very good but with some of the powder by the pound flat black and turned out nice.
Oh great, another thread that makes me spend money.

I have been using Eastwoods grey to coat and it seems to work good if this is the color you are looking for.

I went through the same cycle--started out with the bright bullets but quickly found the muted colors to be much better looking--at least to me
