    Yugo RPK picture

I just happen to walk into a pawn shop yesterday and was able to trade into this, this will be a good addition to my AK collection (9 AK’s now)

It is a parts matching built kit with a No dac spud reciever serial number under 10... with the original barrel in decent shape it looks to be a “battlefield pick up” parts kit. Better yet it was made in my birth year!! The whole family is already enjoying it

I thought the RPK was a belt-fed system, whereas the RPD was drum fed? That is what I learned from my 'little blue book' in basic at Benning. Weren't they chambered in 7.62x54r?

Hang on, I am doing some research.

The 2nd amendment was never intended to allow private citizens to 'keep and bear arms.' If it had, there would have been wording such as 'the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. -Ken Konecki, July 27, 1992

There ya got the bipod, now the boy can shoot it no problem. My son was 9 when he started shooting my 5.45x39 Romanian 74. He's not a very big kid, so I had to use my finger to help hold it up right behind the muzzle lol. That boy of mine is a shooter for sure. Shoots pistols with better groups than me most of the time. And that AK (and every other rifle he's shot) was right on his targets, i told him he needs to lift a few weights and then he'll be solo shooting it in no time. But yes sir that was a lucky find. Can't believe it would get pawned

Yugo aks and the rpk are some of my favorites. I just miss the days of cheap original barrel parts kits. Man those were some good times.
