    Red Dot or Reflex sight

I would like to purchase a sight for my fiance’s Ruger 22/45 Mk III

It should have auto shutoff to keep from running the battery down.

    Budget is $250.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Don Verna

Burris FastFire 3 or Vortex Venom. I've owned dozens over the years and have them on all my competition guns and hunting guns. For the price point you have, either of these will give you a lifetime of service and have great features.

I went cheap on mine, no auto shutoff.

Truglo 60$ 4 reticle design, with red and green. Just use the smallest dot 2.5 moa and at fairly low settings.

Both the wife's and my Ruger Mk III 22/45's will put 10 rounds in a pop cap sized group at 20 feet in about 10 seconds offhand.

On a good day, I can put colored dots on a target and walk the bases, a shot at 12, then 3, 6 , 9, back to 12 around and around and do it in not much time. But I don't have a timer, once you learn to track that recoil down through your target and pulse the trigger as it crosses center it starts getting fun. You can put 10 rounds down range in about half that many seconds for a single target. Maybe 8 seconds playing baseball.

I Like to use 1" black dots on a orange pistol target. With some practice it is not hard to keep them all in the middle of the dots.

Cheap will work, but if you really want to trust it, might be worth spending the money.
