Anyone ever use HT over inferior PC?

He's a good guy and I am not blaming him nor his PC. I'm still using Smoke's PC and will continue to into the forseable future. I am just trying to salvage a lot of gray coated bullets before tossing them in a pot.

Okay but seriously though... You could have gotten something in your powder to contaminate it. maybe some humidity level went way high, who knows. Could be a bad batch. Things happen and not everything in this world is perfect... My recco would be to contact Randy and work something out or try another batch of PC. I think I only bought the CLEAR PC from Smoke so that I could mix my GITD in it and make ghost bullets... Worked excellent.

For everything else though, I have powder that I have gotten from all over and I know what works on my list.

Yeah the title of the thread makes you think, oh boy here we go but a little patient reading made it clear. I have to agree with the other fellows. If a little lube won't make them work you are better off just melting them down and starting over.

Not when your staring at a 50 pound pile of cast / coated / sized boolits and realize all the WORK that went into the molten pool of lead. Oh well, another one of those tough life learned lessons, eh?

I've done it the other way around. Clear PC over HT. HT for the color, & clear PC 'cause it's more durable.
