WTB 45 ACP Cylinder for Ruger Blackhawk

    Blued or stainless is fine.

There are two New Model Blackhawk 45 ACP cylinders. One for the full size Blackhawk that has a TWO digit prefix in the serial number, and one for the medium framed New Model Flattop Blackhawk that has a THREE digit serial number. They are not interchangeable.

Full size Blackhawk has a round ratchet star (left cylinder) Medium frame has a scalloped ratchet star (right cylinder).

Got a .22 .30 .32 .357 .38 .40 .41 .44 .45 .480 or .500 S&W cylinder that needs throats honed? 9mm, 10mm/40S&W, 45 ACP pistol barrel that won't "plunk" your handloads? 480 Ruger or 475 Linebaugh cylinder that needs the "step" reamed to 6° 30min chamfer? Yep, this is important. Mine are all 1.977" (but not for sale)
    KE4GWE - - - - - - Colt 1860, it just feels right.

Hmm, my 45 Colt cylinder measures 1.977" and has a two digit prefix to the serial number. Will this one be too loose and not function properly? I'm guessing yes...

The frame I had needed 1.965 . It needed .004 to keep the cylinder muzzle off the barrel extension and to correct the headspace to a reasonable level .
Cylinder shims for double actions worked fine but a cylinder that could be matched was better .

This one is for the large frame "old new model" not the Vaquero "new new model " .
