    Range score today

My Range was cleaning up the warehouse when they found these 20 ga Uniwads. Bought all they had at $2/bag. Also bought some of these Federal 12CI wads. I don’t know anything about them but they seem thick enough to handle buckshot and slugs.

BT you need to offer your virtual buddy hogtamer some of those wads at a suitable profitable margin. They date from the seventies and are my all time favorites, though I have never seen them with yellow inserts. Maybe they are the later models! Those fed wads almost look like some kind of sabot with all kinds of uses! Good score!

RE - Federal 12CI wads: Originally brought out in the late 1960's as the Champion Pellet Protector.
Federal has brought back this wad or something almost identical, calling it innovative!

Coming soon to a vendor near you:

This is the same wad used in the "new" Gold Medal Grand line of shotshells.

Good catch RMc, old things have become new again, with a fancy new price too. I do love the old Uniwads for birdshot loading, no good for buck or slugs though. I bought up all I could find of the 12s the last several years. I just know I've got something BT needs to swap for a couple of bags of those 20s. He just doesn't know it yet!

Paper and plastic case load data for the Federal 12C-1 and the Lage Uniwad, (12 & 20 gauge), can be found in the Alliant 2000 data manual at the link below:

My favorite wad was the "Windjammer" I certainly sent 25,000 or so out into Troy meadows over the years
