    Rcbs rs3

    Hi folks,

I have a chance to buy an RCBS RS3 in good shape for $75.00. I dont know much about them. Price seems ok. What do folks think.

I've been wanting one for pistol and revolver loads. Can't get one just yet, but it would be a good companion to my RockChucker....

Price new is about $125 or so....

Did I ever mention that I hate to trim brass?

I bought an rs3 as my first press. At the time i wanted a rock chucker, but just couldn't swing it on a tight budget. I figured it would hold me over until I could. Well, it's held me over for 28 years and counting. Its did everything I've needed from 38 special to 308 Norma mag, and case forming for the Norma. I will say that it doesn't have a priming arm. It originally came with a " RCBS ram prime" a short adapter that screws in like a die and primes on top of the press.
I quickly picked up a Lee hand primer for larger batches, but it's fine for a box or two. It's too small to do anything longer than a win mag, but that's no problem for me. I'm happy with mine.

I would just find a used rock chucker for a bit more cash. They are around if you keep a lookout. Might be able to find one at that price. Just my 2 cents.

One of the most endearing sights in the world is the vision of a naked good-looking woman leaving the bedroom to make breakfast. Bolivar Shagnasty (I believe that Lazarus Long also said it, but I can't find any record of it.)
