"Christmas Jewels for Lazy Cooks”

Make them ahead of time, fridge, pull them out and cut into disks whenever you want cookies.


"Christmas Jewels for Lazy Cooks”
Makes 16 dozen.
1 lb. butter
2 c. white sugar 1 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
2 lb. cake flour (or 7 1/2 c, regular flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 cups chopped walnuts
1 lb mixed dried candied fruit
Roll like refrigerator cookies, Refrigerate overnight or freeze 1-2 hours. Slice 1/4 inch thin or thinner
Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes
