    Question 300 B/O AR15 SBR question

    - Want a 300 B/O

    - Have GEMTECH 1 can

    - Putting the can on a 16" bbl is unwieldy.

    - IF you welded an open ended tube on a 10.5 bbl to bring the OAL to 16" would that be considered a 16" bbl ?

    - Thinking if it's ok, I could do that with a tube large enough to install the can inside the tube on the short bbl.

    Thoughts ?

Tactical solutions makes a 300 BO upper like what you are talking about. Permanently attached shroud that makes it legal length.

Thanks but 1200 bucks for a $400 upper is a bit much.

IF you go the home made route I'd suggest that you weld the "exhaust pipe" to a flash hider then blind pin the flash hider to the barrel. Less heat on the barrel, less chance of warping something and ruining your barrel.

As long as your extension tube is "permanently" attached and the OAL is 16"- you are good.

Well just sold a $1000 rifle on GB, so I can afford the TACSOL upper.

It is such a cool solution to putting another thumb in the eye of the deep state.

My GEMTECH ONE will slip right in the bbl extension. Watched the videos ---- quiet !

    Many potential applications --------
