How is your Harbor Freight PC gun holding up?

How has your gun held up. HF does not build much that will last the test of time. I have a friend that wants to help me out doing this. My hands are pretty much screwed up and I can't handle real small bullets.

I told him I would get the gun if he would PC them for me. He is going to be using all of my reloading stuff when he comes over so I can keep an eye on him and he can learn the cast reloading process at the same time.

My first one lasted 3 years and lost the static charge, the 10 dollar warranty got me a new on going on one year no problems. Tumble coating is showing some promise tho..I have been a die hard spray guy but the tumble is starting to do pretty good.

    One year down, no problems
I firmly believe that you should only get treated by how you act, not by who or what you are!!

    Good!

Any tips other than reading the 10,000 post above that are stickied?

If you have the extra bucks I would suggest the Eastwood Dual Voltage Gun instead. It's a better gun than my HF, especially if high humidity becomes a problem. Additionally, if you are going to shoot multiple colors, inexpensive extra bottles are available from Eastwood, made even better if you happen on a special. I was dismayed to find the plastic bottle the HF powder comes in does not fit the gun, not that I recommend HF powder, which I do not.

Consider the tumble coating method; if you use self closing tweezers to pick up the bullets you can pick up any size bullet, even with arthritic hands as I have. The spray typically creates the most even coating, but leaves an uncoated base, so pluses and minuses to each method.

There are very cheap containers (one buck each) at Dollar Tree that fit the HF sprayer. Get the shorter bottles. I've got a bunch of 10" high and they work well.

4 years and going strong. It's actually working better than my Caldwell gun, which is getting temperamental with the trigger valve.
    KE4GWE - - - - - - Colt 1860, it just feels right.
