    Lovex D037.2 any use in reduced rifle loads for 308 or 7.62x54r??

    Ok, i think i might have goofed on a powder order...

    Bought 2 cans of Lovex D037.2 , or 'lovex heavy pistol', since the burn rate is comparable to Alliant 2400.

    After i ordered them i noticed that it's actually a ball powder and not flake.

    Intended use was for reduced or cast loads in 308 and 7.62x54r.

    Can i use it, or is it a no-no since it's a ball powder and not a fluffy flake powder like the actual 2400?

    I would try it using AA #9 or 2400 load data.Whether it's flake or ball shouldn't matter.

    Just concerned about the case fill being a lot lower / less with the lovex ball vs 2400 flake. Anybody actually tried ?

    DO37.2 = Accurate No 9

    would be a good Powder for Cast Bullets 160 - 200 + grs.
    14 - 18 grs will work

    Its a bit faster than D060
