    Unhappy Shiming bullet mold's??

As ya'll know i'm new at these auto caster's ( Ballisticaster II, used ) it has ballisticcaster moulds in it ,,but the cam's were so tight I could just "bearly" turn it by hand,,book said this was to tight,,so adj. outside (4) bolt's until I could turn it easier,,now the mould's have a slight gap,, at the top ( when it pour's),,. how tight are the "key's" in the mould's suppose to be,,if I tighten the cam's up to close the gap's,,it get's to tight . Are we suppose to shim the "key's",or do they need some movement? Am I making any sense,,?

adjust the bolts on the can ring to close the molds. If it is too tight, you will snap the sheer pin.
Ours is tight and needs some effort to turn by hand with a 3/4" ring spanner.
But....it casts and work just fine.
    Hooroo.

Hey Aus,,thank you. I think I have it about right,,no seam lines on the bullet's cast,,i bought a pkg. of shear screw's,,it don't take much to shear one.

They have to be tight, if not you'll get lead in between mould blocks as described.

If the share pin holds, it's not to tight in my opinion. Not if the sliding surfaces have som grease on them. I use lithium white grease.
