WTB old style RCBS bench priming tool

    Hello All,
I would like to buy two of the old style RCBS benchtop priming tools as gifts for Christmas. Not interested in the new speed priming tool. Please PM with price and condition.
    Thanks, and take care,
    Rick

Sorry on the item number, I do not. It is a simple one primer at a time machine which uses the same shellholders as the press. About a 6 inch or so arm for leverage. They came with a small and large primer stem.
Thanks, and looking forward to more responses.
    Rick

    Springfield,
Thanks so much for the picture. No, that is not the one I need. The one I am looking for is simpler with no primer tubes. They measure about 5 inches tall and have a 6 inch round lever. I'm sorry but I lack the ability to know how to post pictures.
    Thanks for your help,
    Rick

You are referring to the RCBS version of the original Lachmiller. They show up on eBay from time to time from 60/75 dollars

Or if you find an original Lachmiller RCBS will sell or give you what is needed to upgrade it to theirs, or used to anyway.

    Pressman and Wayne Smith,
Thank you both. I think you a right. I found a picture of a Lachmiller and although the shape is a little different they are similar and I think the RCBS version is what I'm looking for. I would love to find a couple of them at a reasonable price if anyone has a spare.
    Thanks all,
    Rick

Jusr to add a bit more confusion -- early lachmiller used a linkage system, later models a eccentric cam which is the model rcbs sold -- i think -
I also think the lach/rcbs can use a primer tube that has a small plunger to hand feed each primer --

The model I have and am looking for has the eccentric cam attached to the lever arm.
    Thanks all,
    Rick

I have an old Lachmiller that I’d love to the shell holder adapter for. If anyone has one for sale please pm me.

    Just FYI:

I finnaly found one of the early RCBS units (mine is not for sale however) and it was missing one or the other priming size stem assemblies. I knew it going in on the purchase however.

I contacted RCBS and was told they no longer supported that tool.

I went back to their online parts book and saw that in fact it was the same parts numbers as their current production bench tool for those parts. I recontacted RBCS and informed them that they in fact had those parts.

Long story longer ... they were slow in sending them out (free by the way, though I offered to pay) I placed by then a third call and by the time the dust settled, I had two new full sets in my possession plus what the used tool shipped with. It is important to note that the length of the stems varied in length enough to cause me to test each of the pairs of stems and cross match my working set from the parts I already had and the new parts with the same part numbers.

As I recall some or maybe all of the stems that were a little of may have needed some judicious grinding or polishing to place the handle in the optimum position but my recollection is a bit fuzzy.

So to the OP: If you find a tool such as you are seeking and the stems and associated pieces are not all with it you should be able to procure them from the “Mothership” but there could be a little turbulence along the way but it will be worth the wait as these early units are a treasure.
