Any collector value to NOS sealed canisters of gunpowder?

I have acquired a couple older but still sealed and in very nice condition Hercules powder canisters. They are both about 6 1/4"X 8" in dimension. The Bullseye has 3 pounds of powder in it and the 2400 has 5 pounds. Labels in nice shape too. I have no doubt the powder is fine, but was wondering if there is any possible collector value to these? Dates on the labels indicate 1964 and 1965. Pretty neat either way!

On a side note the black canister under the red ones is an old 12 pound keg that held HiSkor 700X, that was from 1972 and was also sealed before I used it all up recently....shot just fine.

I have seen the cans sell empty for collectors, but not full. Seems like having them full would limit the ability to ship and the size of the collection given fire codes and insurance, so I doubt there is much of a collector market. Of course I don’t know!

I would "collect" that stuff in a heart beat. Problem is, as you suggest, it may be no good. As for fire codes, insurance, well...... for those who live in the boonies, like me, it may not be such a big issue.

Yes, looks like a local sale would be only way to go due to HAZMAT.

"Joined Dates" are deceiving if you factor-in "lurk" dates.

Was just wondering if there was any added value due to being sealed still. I could use it up no problem.

they make great stuff holders if you cut the top off.
the 12 lb kegs are nice garbage cans under the bench.
