Nice sight. Receiver already drilled & tapped?
Supposedly it is a no tap. I will see if that is true when it arrives.
Heck of a deal! Looks like it mounts to threaded holes from here. I love Krags.

The sight in the photos is definitely drill and tap.As far as I know all Redfield 70 sights are drill and tap.
If you reconsider putting holes in the receiver, this is what you're looking for: (mounts in the magazine cut off recess)

That sight (Redfield #70) is intended to be mounted on the RH side of the receiver- a receiver that is harder than woodpecker lips for drilling and tapping. Were it me, I would re-sell that thing and shop around for a true Redfield No-Drill (#102) sight for a Krag. You'll thank me if you do. That way also you won't be invading the integrity of an otherwise original receiver.
I have a full length Krag with a Redfield No-Drill (#102) sight with Hunter knobs. I just decided to sell the the rifle - I prefer my carbine - but I'd part with sight if you are still looking. Shoot me a message if interested.
