Looking for a light Keith style bullet.

    Hello,

I have the RCBS 45-270-SA mold and really like it. I would like however to find a light Keith style bullet, or at least something with a wide flat nose in the 200 to 230gr range with a wide lube groove for BP, in .454... Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Gil.

you'll look long and hard for the lyman version designed for the 45 auto rim cases.
I'd just order one of these.

I accidentally stumbled onto the Lyman version a few years ago....but discontinued designs are hard to find and most want more than I'm willing to pay.
The NOE 452-231-SWC PB is a recreation of the Lyman and probably drops larger than .452.
The NOE store says 2, 3, and 4 cavity moulds are in stock.

A light Keith bullet? isn't that an oxymoron? By caliber Keith's were heavy IMHO.

Shapes like Kieths but light are new maker renditions.

NOE is running its End of the Year sale for the next week. Should take a little sting out of the wallet. I think it is 20% off.

Here you go, designed by Elmer Keith himself. Weighs between 220gr and 237gr, depending upon the alloy and whether you cast it as a solid or hollowpoint.

Lyman has a Keith style 200gr. Number 452460. It looks like a traditional Keith SWC but shorter. It has two groves.
