Nice older (maybe 70's vintage) Thompson Center 50 caliber Hawken with lots of character.
Wood grain is like a chameleon in different light, sunlight etc., and I tried to get the photos to show how cool the grain can be. It has plenty of handling marks in the clear coat. Brass has never been polished with full patina. Bore looks good.

There's no pitting on this rifle.
I just love a fine rifle with fine wood, even if it has some handling marks...If I didn't have a TC Hawkin 50, I'd be all over this.

It is a beautiful rifle. It's a great candidate for refinishing if Bob wants to restore it. Strip the clear coat and steam out the handling marks, new oil finish and it would look like a million bucks AAA. But of course it's a TC Hawken, so it's made to get out and hunt with, and not worry about looking pretty...
