Info on the 376 steyr anyone?

was just looking at any 375 cartridges that fit medium actions, and I stumbled across the 376 steyr. I was thinking it would be a good rebore for the 35 whelen, or 9.3X62, If I ever felt like moving up. I also saw the 375 JDJ but it is shorter then the 2 cartridges I mentiond in the first place, so it didn't seem logical, when the steyr will have more capacity anyways. so any info on reloading this cartridge, especially with cast would be awesome! thanks a lot-Travis

also, is the 370 sako a 9.3mm round>? would appreciate if someone would fill me in, I couldn't find a lot about either on the net, as far as actual experience with either goes...

Both are good cartridges and both will be orphans soon.

If you want a .375 that will fit an 06' length action, the 375 Ruger is a choice that will probably be around. The 375 Whelen in an improved version is also good with boolits.

IMO, with cast, there isn't much reason (difference) between a 35/9.3 and 375. When you get up into the 40s-50s then things change.

I have his Sako in 370/9.3x66 nice cartridge. I’ve shot about 7 African animals with it. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s going to be around much longer in North America. Federal does make ammunition for it.

well that's unfortunate, I know that 375 rugers are pretty good though. but why do the 375 ruger, when you could do the 416 ruger?lol
