food prep tools for the lazy crowd...

this is a little something that i put together a little while back because im too lazy to grind by hand..



this used to be a coffee grinder, but i took it out of the cabinet and stripped it down to the grinder part and put a switch and a big funnel on it for grinding dried food for making corn, bean, and rice flour.. you can grind a 5lb bag of rice flour or corn meal in around 4 minutes with it.. i got two of them that i got out of a scrap bin for about 2$ a piece..

here is a tub of rice flour on the left and a tub of corn meal on the right that i just got finished grinding..

I like it. I don’t do a lot of grinding but I have automated temperature controls on smokers before.

Automation is the way to go, so ya don't have to stand there and babysit it..That is almost like the controller on two of my heat treat furnaces...
