Picked up a bunch of the Accurate Arms Magnum Rifle Powder. 4831 equivalent IIRC. Anyone used this in 308 loads before with boolits?

AA's equivalent of 4831 was AA-3100.
8700 is the slowest they make.
I can tell you that the 3100 will start to clean up and burn pretty well at about 45grs which is close to 2400 fps with a 165gr boolit.
3100 is at it's best when it has a little compression so a Dacron filler would be a big help.
8700 would want something heavier sitting on top and about 50-52grs. of powder [might as well just scoop the case full tip a little out and run about .003 neck tension]
IIRC the AA MRP, this stuff, was a precursor to AA3100
I vaguely remember something like that MRP back in maybe the 80's.
but I can't recall a good burn rate for it.
if it is 4831 type then I'd go with what I wrote above, it's probably not a real good cast powder at lower velocity's.
when were you there? I was there sat from like 2 o clock to 4 or so. got to meet the guy from Alaskan guns
An armed man in a citizen.
An unarmed man is a subject.
A disarmed man is a slave.
I was there from 9am Sat to about 3:30pm and 8:30 to Noon on Sunday. My feet had had enough!!!
