    What's different about today?

Got up about 6, wife gone with our kids and grands over to E. Texas for some family stuff. Gave thanks for a new day and asked for guidance that I might use it in the way He desires. My house faces East and I'm sitting here watching the rising sun and enjoying a fresh cup, got the same aches and pains as yesterday, some of 'em pretty bad, but I feel so blessed today. Dunno what it is but I'm thankful that I'm still here to enjoy this world, wife, kids, and grandkids. Life is good. GW

Each day offers us its challenges and opportunities, and each situation will never come again. The better we do at meeting these challenges and opportunities the way Christ would approve of, the better our tomorrows will get. Every today becomes a yesterday, and every yesterday becomes our history. We cannot possibly "earn" our way into Heaven. We have to reach out and accept the simple offer of grace and forgiveness, and following Him is as close as anyone can ever get to "earning" thier salvation. And, it's the least we can do for One who gave His very life's blood for all of us, that we might be redeemed. What a wonderful Lord we serve!
